Father’s day 2018

Hello friends. I want to wish all Dads and Fathers a happy fathers day. Thank you for being the role models of young men and women. Thank you for being the husbands, brothers, uncles, big brothers, grandparents to so many.

There was a simple joke made at church today…

Fathers day is just like Mother’s day, except you spend less on dad.

I had a nice father’s day with my daughter. We started at church then we went to a local car show on Main street in Hyannis, MA.

They had so many cars, it was a lot of fun checking them out. It was a beautiful and warm day. We stayed for about an hour then went home.

You can find some pictures from my favorites from the day below.

Until next time… be well.

Welcome back to my blog!

Sorry folks, I have been a little lazy with posting to my blog recently. So today I’m going to TRY to make a new habit to write something at least once a week for a while.

Let me start with a story about my Memorial day weekend…

First of all, I had my daughter over for a visit. We went to the movies Friday night. We watched SOLO a STAR WARS Story. It was pretty good. It was very Entertaining. I ate too much popcorn.

Saturday night we went out to dinner with my Mom and We played miniture golf. We both play fast and loose, and we take “Mulligans” whenever we need to. We have fun when we play games like that.

Sunday is church day and brunch at a local deli. That’ a typical weekend. I love my girl, she’s my heart and soul.

Memorial day Monday I went for a nice walk along a part of the Cape Cod Canal bike path with a new friend. We went from the Sandwich Marina to the Sagamore bridge and back. It was a humid foggy day, but we had a nice day day together.

That’s it for now.

Thanks for stopping by.

Till next time …

Spring on Cape Cod 2018

Hello friends,
It has been a while since my last blog post. Today is March 22, 2018 and it’s the second day of Spring 2018. So far in the last 30 days, we have had four named winter storms. They have caused plenty of damage to our beautiful Cape Cod area.

The storm last week knocked out power to most of the Cape for at least 24 – 50+ hours. I lost power last Tuesday midday and it stayed off till sometime Thursday.
On that storm my Mother and I stayed at a local American Red Cross shelter as volunteers. We had about 35 others plus staff at the shelter that night.

This last storm only produced some high winds, some rain and scattered flurries with little or no accumulation of snow.

I can’t wait for “Spring” to really show up and give us some warmer days and lead us into Summer which is my favorite season.

Well that’s it for now. If you want to stay more up to date with my day to day …

Thanks and see you again ( I hope)
